May flowers are blooming and so is this congregation in the community. The different session committees and the Deacons are constantly putting our name in the spotlight in Milford. From the Palm Sunday processional to the Animal Blessing, the Sandy Cleanup along the D & R canal, to a community Mother's Day Breakfast, and a Community Father's Day breakfast. There are so many things that we are providing the community, for the community well being not our own.

As a faith community, we are constantly trying to find new ways to connect with all the areas around us but in doing that we need your help. We need helping hands, donations, and prayers. On the first Sunday of every month, we collect the Two Cents a Meal which provides funding for our community food pantries, but more important than that, we collect nonperishable foods as well. Marguerite and Ed York have spearheaded that program for our congregation and it is nothing short of awesome. We have an anonymous family that donates bags of food every two weeks and a local business, US Healthcare Supply LLC, whose employees donate can goods. It is wonderful to see community-helping community during difficult times.

So how can you help, you may be asking yourself, well by just praying is a start and volunteering even just a small portion of your spare time is another. On May 17th and 18th, we will be holding our semi-annual rummage sale. We will need stuff to sell, hands to sort, and people to help clean up afterwards. We need drivers to deliver anything that has not been sold to our local thrift shop for others to browse. On July 29th thru August 2nd we will be hosting our joint VBS with Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. Again, we
need hands, donations and prayers that we fulfill the hopes and dreams of all the children that will attend as they learn more and more about how much God loves them and how they can share that love with others.

As a faith community that has received so much over the years there is much expected in return and we are trying to do our part but we need you too. If you want to find ways to participate in any of our community based offerings please contact the church at 908-995-2481.

Peace,

Pastor Linda
